The sixth annual Rhythm Festival will be held in the breathtakingly beautiful parkland of Mansion House, Old Warden Park, near Biggleswade, Bedfordshire, over the Bank Holiday Weekend of August 26th to 28th.

RF director Jim Driver said: “The Mansion House at Old Warden Park is a really beautiful and well-equipped site and I’m really pleased we’ve found such a great new home. After consultation with the Mansion House staff, we’ve decided that Rhythm Festival will be held there over the Bank Holiday Weekend from 2011 onwards.”

Designed by Henry Clutton, the Mansion House is over 130 years old and located within 500 acres of beautiful parkland. During the second world war, the house served as a hospital before becoming an agricultural college in 1946. The house is currently managed by Bedford College Services on behalf of the Shuttleworth Trust.

Past performers at the Rhythm Festival have included Jerry Lee Lewis, Joe Bonamassa, The Dammed, and Dr John, whilst the first year Jimmy Page was to play with Roy Harper but cut his finger and didn’t make it. With the legendary Steve Cropper appearing this year with the Animals, can we expect any British legends of the guitar to come rolling in for a jam.
